Essay

The author defined historical, social and cultural preconditions, as well as main trends, tendencies and specifity of the East Galician Reformative Pedagogy of the first third of 20-th century on the basis of document research and qualitative study conducted in his dissertation. The study also considers the contribution of the Ukrainian, Polish and Jewish educators into popularization of reformative Pedagogy ideas in the first third of the 20-th century; it analyses the main tendencies of dissemination of the labor school ideas, open education, experimental pedagogics and psychology, and religions pedagogy; it also defines the perspectives of the creative implementation of these innovative ideas into educational practice of Ukraine.
