Antonec N. Pedagogical activity of Spiridon Cherkasenko in a context of movement for national school (1906-1940)

The dissertation gives a complex analysis of educational activity and pedagogical heritage of Spiridon Cherkasenko in a context of movement of the Ukrainian intelligency of first third of XX century for national education. The conducting factors of formation of his pedagogical outlook, basic directions of activity in the field of education have been found and disclosed in the research. Spiridon Cherkasenko publications on pages of press are analysed, and his contribution in creation of the Ukrainian textbooks is investigated. The new documents which represent social-pedagogical movement in Ukraine in the beginning of XX century, life and activity of the figures of education in emigration in 20-40-х years of the last century are introduced into scientific practice. The main results of the research can be used in the course of the history of pedagogics, during creating of the textbooks
