The work features out the basic artistic and typological characteristics of prose as an integral dynamic system within the context of the phenomenon called the "Prague Irony" in the Czech literature. There is also raised a number of theoretical issues of the contemporary literary criticism, in particular the marginality of the author and the character as well as the autobiographical details within the framework of the "fringe literature". The original classification of the writer's particular narrative - "idle talk" is offered, the types of pun are analyzed, and the basic principles of organizing fictional texts are determined.
