The Object is professional - pedagogical preparation of teacher in pedagogical educational institutions of Ukraine during the second half of the XIX- the beginning of the XX century. The aims - to systematize theoretical positions and to generalize the experience of pedagogical practice in pedagogical educational institutions of different type in Ukraine during the researched period. The Novelty - for the first time is completely investigated the problem of organization the pedagogical practice in the historian - pedagogical retrospective show; the opinions of teachers at the role and place of pedagogical practice in different types of pedagogical establishments are systematized and tendencies of its organization and stages of development during the researched period are set; the author's special course is developed, introduced into educational process of the high-grade educational institutions; the field is the History of pedagogics;
