Ilnytska L. Education in a context of the social-aesthetic conception of a Herbert Read.

The dissertation is devoted to examination of the social - aesthetic concept Herbert Read representing one of variants of the West-European theory of aesthetic education of the first half ХХ of century. It's shown that aesthetic education as the shape of spiritual development for a long time executed a unique problem of forming of art abilities in the human. The first stage assumes to be an education of the individual as creative person. The second stage surmises to be an education of the individual as keeper of high aesthetic ideals and spiritual values. Principles, detected in dissertation, of the theory of "education by art" of H.Read open the tendency of forming of progressive system of universal aesthetic education recognized to supply high quality of art - aesthetic formation in a modern society.
