Dissertation research is devoted to the theoretical-methodological aspects of intensi-fication of humanitarian students' self education. On the base of analysis of current scien-tific resources on this problem the concept and peculiarities of this notion have been de-termined. The pedagogical conditions are defined and the theoretical modal of the self education process' intensification was developed on its base. The criteria and indicators of students self educational activity have been grounded.
