Shevchenko O. Natural resistance of swine – determination, peculiarities of realization in different conditions of microclimate.

Object of investigation: microclimate of premises (temperature and air humidity) swines of White Large and Landras breeds, purebred young (White Large and Landras breeds and the mixed young of ?White Large +?Landras) Aim of investigation: to determine the values of natural resistance of swines of different genotypes reared at different parameters of microclimate; peculiarities of their realization when having pneumonia. Subject of investigation: reproductive qualities of swines age dynamics of live weight, values of natural resistance (bactericidial, lyzosymic, comhlementary), hematological indices (morphological and biochemical), morbidity of swines with pneumonia. Methodst of investigation: zoohygienic, zootechnical, laboratory, veterinary, variational statistics. Scientific novelty. In comparative aspect the following have been studied: main values of natural resistance; morphological and biochemical indices of blood in swines different genotypes as a result of the genotype - environment interaction; the effect of different parameters of microclimate and major values of natural resistance on morbidity of swines with respiratory diseases; further development of the problem if the influence of favorable course of respiratory diseases on swines growth at different stages of ontogenesis, hematological indices values of natural resistance, reproductive functions of swines of White Large and Landras breeds in pure breeding and crossing; dynamics of live weight and other indices of their young growth. Practical significance: the following recommendations have been worked out and approved: “Use of resistance values on prognosis of life ability of swines of differens genotypes” Kharkiv,2004); “Abiotic faktors, their influence on the different genotypes” (Kharkiv,2005). The results of the experiments have been: on pork production units when White Large and Landras breeds are used to improve the parameter of microclimate in premises to develop new technologies of pig-breeding products an to prevent the occurrenceof respiratory diseases of swines; in the courses of qualification improvement for doctors of veterinary medicine and engineers-technologists in production and processing of animal products; in the teaching proces in animal hygiene, physiology, biochemistry and farm animal breeding. Field of application: pig-breeding.
