The dissertation research is devoted to the current problem of modern theory and practice - the tolerance upbringing in senior pupils of secondary general education lycеes at France. In the process of work retrospective analysis of historical tradition of education and upbringing at French lycеes was done; the state of pedagogical, psychological and scientific problems was work out in French lycеes practice; the levels and criterions of the tolerance education's condition were defined; content, forms and methods of upbringing tolerance in French senior pupils were analyzed and theoretically based. Some forms and methods were worked out to use French experience in Ukrainian schools.
