Prokopiv L. Teaching and educational work with gifted young people in pedagogical institutions of higher education of Ukraine (the second half of the 20th century).

Research object: Higher pedagogical education in Ukraine (the second half of the 20th century). The dissertation presents a systematic survey of the researches in this country and abroad on the matter of gifted young people; tendencies of development of pedagogical institutions of higher education in Ukraine during 1945 - 2000 concerning direction of work with gifted young people are revealed; content, forms and methods of the teaching and educational work with gifted students both in class and in out-of-school hours in pedagogical institutions of higher education in Ukraine during the mentioned period are investigated and analyzed; possibilities of creative application of the historical experience of work with gifted young people in pedagogical institutions of higher education of Ukraine in the context of Bologna process are distinguished. Materials, theses and results of the research carried out may prove useful in delivering lectures, conducting seminars in history of pedagogics in institutions ofhigher education of different types of accreditation; in working out training appliances and text-books.
