The work focuses on the indicators of personal ecological knowledge, pedagogical conditions of ecological education of the future builder and the their peculiarities; the notions "ecological education" and "ecological knowledge" have got the further development and clarification, this impacts the effectiveness of the ecological education in the process of preparing for the professional activity; The theoretical model of ecological education of a future builder is worked out and grounded; the effectiveness individual cognitive work of students, that is optimally organized, is proved according to the authorized methods of forming the ecological knowledge.
