Druzhyn G. Modern Lexical Borrowings: Pragmatics, Semantics, Sociolinguistics.

The object is the borrowed lexicon of 90th of the XX and the beginning of the XXI century. The aim is to descript the legitimacies of the borrowings functioning in the conditions of a modern language situation. The methods of research are supervision, discourse-analysis, frame analysis, descriptive, comparative, questionnaire. The process of expansion of new words of Romanic and German origin into the lexical system of Russian language of the last decade of the XX and the beginning of the XXI century is analyzed in this thesis. The amount of new borrowings first of all from English language is caused by widening of intergovernmental, culturological and as a result - interlanguage contacts of modern Ukraine with the world. The correlation of pragmatics and semantics in this process, stages of application of the borrowings with consideration to the cognitive procedures are analyzed in the dissertation. Recently formed borrowings groups functioning in modern mass media and in "live" colloquial speech, Internet communication are described in the thesis. The pragmatic characteristic of the modern borrowings is described in Russian language of the last decade in the dissertation. Sphere of use is the training courses.
