Essay

The philosophic-theoretical analysis of visual representation in its aesthetic dimension is carried out thesis. The analysis of the notion from the historical viewpoint makes it possible to draw a conclusion that the visual representation model has been considerably complicated in the modernist and postmodernist visual-cultural paradigms. The author concentrates her attention on the understanding of human sight as ontologically based, which anticipates a view on the visual act as variable, and also the inclusion of the visual thinking notion.
