A thesis is dedicated to system analysis of pedagogical views of Old Russian metropolitan Klyment Smolyatych (XII century) in the light of a dialog of cultures as a philosophic and humanistic tradition of native education. Peculiarities of world view and creative action of Klyment Smolyatych, whose pedagogical person is determined as phenomenon of interaction of historical and culture traditions are considered in thesis. Pedagogical matter and direction of world view position of metropolitan as "philosophy of pedagogic" are theoretically founded. Perspectives of pedagogical views of Klyment Smolyatych application to modern educational practice are described on the basis of its dialog essence opening, taking into account priorities of dialog and culture method especially.
