Scientific and pedagogical heritage of Alexander Afanasievich Potebnya (1835-1891). To reveal the essence of A.A.Potebnya’s pedagogical and scientifically elucidative activity. The following approaches of research are utilized: historical and pedagogical analysis and synthesis, historical and retrospective, personally-biographical, chronological. The phenomenon of A.A.Potebnya’s pedagogical personnel was investigated; his pedagogical ideas, experience, scientifically elucidative and educational tendencies were studied. A.A.Potebnya’s pedagogical ideas and creative heritage implementation is realized in the scope of contemporary Ukrainian national educational system improvement. The application field is higher education.
