Essay

The picture of the development of Ukrainian monumental-decorative art in the first third of the 20-th century has been reproduced. The process of the formation of the new school of monumental-decorative art, its development, first of all in the Ukrainian Academy of Fine Arts, its main principles and orientation have been investigated. Scientific-pedagogical and creative-methodological principles of the professors-innovators M. Boichuk and V. Krychevsky have been analyzed. The creative work of O.Sayenko — the talented pupil and the establisher of the creative principles of M. Boichuk and V. Krychevsky in Ukrainian monumental-decorative art has been investigated systematically. Some directions and varieties of the creative work of O. Sayenko have been analyzed deeply.
