Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to issues of improving effectiveness and information value of screening genetic prenatal studies in the first trimester of pregnancy. Data on detection potential of the 1st trimester pregnancy markers were obtained through the prospective observation study method: sonographic marker - (Nuchae translucency or NT) and bio-chemical markers: pregnancy-associated protein (РАРР-А), free-chain human chorionic gonadotropic hormone (free b-hCG) and Alpha-fetoproteina . Cytogenetic studies of fetus in risk groups by Chorionic Villus Sampling and amniotic fluid were conducted. Screening methodology included calculated indicators of sensitivity, specificity and forecasted value of positive and negative results of conducted diagnostic tests. Specificity of marked behavior and warning indicators of fetal chromosomal disorders within the time of conducted genetic prenatal screening in the first trimester of pregnancy were characterized.Specific features of screening informational value in pregnancies resulting from artificial reproductive technologies (ART) and in women from radiological polluted areas were analyzed.
