Essay

The dissertation focuses of the study of structural, semantic and pragmatic peculiarities of asyndetically complex sentences in modern French as an independent type of sentences in the aspect of the language and speech. Asyndetically complex sentences in the system of language are represented by invariant and variant models which become actual in speech. Variant models can be potentially monosemantic (realize the relations of meaning dependence or equality) or polysemantic (realize the both kinds of relations). In speech realizations of asyndetically complex sentences the argumentation is of a great importance. Depending on structural, semantic and pragmatic characteristics monocommucative and polycommunicative constructions of asyndetically complex sentences are differentiated. Taxis relations are common for asyndetically complex sentences and added by modal and temporal, locutive and subjective meanings of predicative parts. Besides the realizations of linguistic models of asyndetically complex sentences strictly speech constructions are also distinguished.
