In the dissertation the native works as to the content of education have been studied; the conditions of forming of the content of primary education on West-Ukrainian lands in 1919-1939 have been found out; educational plans, teaching syllabi, school text-books for Ukrainian primary schools of Western region in interwar period have been analysed; the didactic aspect of future teachers' training for Ukrainian people's schools of Western Ukraine (1919-1939) have been researched; the opportunities of creative usage of the thesis results in modern primary school have been depicted.
