Adaptation of sports boarding school children to the new living conditions is regarded in the dissertation.Theoretical analysis of scientific sources on this problem has been accomplished, the level of investigation of the topic and the status in theory and practice of a modern school is determined, the basic notions of the research are analyzed here. Peculiarities of organization of the educational-training process and specific features of the pupils, studying within the conditions of the sports boarding school are given in the research. The model of the system research of the process of pupil's adaptation to the new conditions of living is worked out and grounded theoretically. The efficiency of its usage in order to diagnose peculiarities of the process of adaptational period is proved. On the basis of the results of the diagnostic research the psychology-pedagogical model of work with young sportsmen at sports boarding schools is represented by the author and the positive results of the formative experiment are analyzed here.
