Essay

The thesis investigates the tendencies of developing the foreign language education in secondary schools of Hungary. The retrospective analyses of forming and developing the foreign language education in Hungary is made from the middle of the XIX till the beginning of the XXI century. The influence of Recommendations of the Council of Europe on forming the national system in quality foreign education in Hungary is investigated. The main strategic documents in foreign language learning, the tasks, aims and contents of it are also defined.
