In the dissertational research а complete analysis of the features of education of the teenager in the only - child family is made for the first time. The practice of family education is investigated both in the native and in the foreign scientific literature. In the scientific research the author offers the complex of criteria on the basis of which the typology of only - child families is allocated. The author specifies the meaning of such phrases as "the only - child family "in the analysis of scientific approaches in both native and foreign research in order to define the substantial essence of only- child families, and its basic on the developed typology.
