In this dissertation theoretical generalization and new decision of actual scientific task of polytechnic education phenomenon definition, tendencies and characters of its development are done that provide the use of the got theoretical and practical scientific results. Evolution of term "polytechnic education" during XX century is investigated and analyzed, modern interpretation of this term is proposed. Polytechnic education components such as polytechnic knowledge, polytechnic knacks, polytechnic significant personal merit and polytechnic technologies are determined and characterized. Theoretical-methodological bases of polytechnic schooling of Pedagogical Higher School graduating students are disclosed. Demands for the matter of polytechnic education are formulated, main features are described, the elements are marked out, ensuring means and grades of pedagogue polytechnic schooling are proposed. Model of Teacher polytechnic activity was polished up. Essence, structure, functions, principles, features and conditions of polytechnic education development in Pedagogical Higher Schools in XX century are generalized. Basic tendencies of polytechnic education in each period are determined. Periodization of polytechnic education development in Pedagogical Higher School is proposed. Author had proposed fruitful ideas about polytechnic schooling for modern Pedagogical Higher Schools' graduating students.
