Krukovska I. Setting up and development medical education in Volyn (XIX – 30th of the XX centuries)

The research presents setting up and development of medical education in Volyn (XIX – 30th of the XX centuries). Historical background of the research helps to manage the challenges facing Ukrainian medical education integrating into Bolognue Process. The thesis contains theoretical basis of content, forms and methods of medical education in Volyn and highlights the evolution of set up and development of the system of medical education in Volyn in 1805–1939. The novelty of the research is reproducing the chronology and geography of training midwives, nurses, charity nurses and other medical workers at governmental, private and religious institutions for medical education and hospitals. The thesis presents: main contradictions and tendencies of medical education set up and development and its 5 stages: I – set up (1805 – 1875), II – stabilization (1876 – 1905), III – activization (1906 – 1914), IV – stagnation (1915 – 1922), V – survival and planed development (1923 – 1939). Materials of research paperscan be used for preparation of medical staff of different qualifications.
