Dutka V. Carpet of Northern Bukovina at XX: Tradition and innovation.

Complex investigation of Bukovynian carpet-making starting with their traditional forms and finishing with their modern artistic modifications has been done in this thesis. The typology of the works is clarified. The development of the regional carpet-making within the context of the main practices of the XX-the century, that is mass production and folk traditional and independent creative work, is enlightened. Ways and possibilities for the development of traditions of Bukovynian carpet-making in modern artistic textile are considered. New materials have been introduced into scientific operation. Historiographic and actual basis was enriched, especially in the part which reveals issues of professional training of the artists specialising in textile and creative work of the folk masters and modern artists.
