The integral analysis of pedagogical ideas and educational activity of Antoninu Gorokhovich is carried out in dissertation. The basic landmarks of life and factors of becoming of Antoninu Gorokhovich are reflected as an educational figure, the con-tribution of teacher is found out to development of Ukrainian national community, the leading ideas of alteration of the Ukrainian national system of education are described in the pedagogical inheritance of scientific. Certainly basic directions of pedagogical activity of Antoninu Gorokhovich: educational-educate, methodical, scientifically pedagogical and its looks are exposed to domestic education, role of the mother tongue in development and education of child, educate potential of child's literature, the liter-ary inheritance of figure is analysed from point of its pedagogical orientation.
