Stakhiv L. Educational book as a means of family education of junior pupils in Western Ukraine (1919 – 1939)

In the thesis the contents of the Ukrainian – Ianguage educational book for junior pupils as a means of family education on the basis of the study of a number of source materials is investigated (systematically) for the first time; the stages and tendencies of development of the educational book in Western Ukrainian area are distinguished. In the thesis pedagogical theory is considerably completed by scientist knowledge about the evolution of notions „educational book”, „ family education”; the prospects of creative usage of the contents of the educational book in family education of junior pupils in present-day conditions are proved. The materials and the main concepts of the thesis can be used in compiling primary school textbooks, children’s books for junior age, educational and methodological manuals for teachers, educational literature in History of Pedagogic and Theory of education for students of higher educational establishments as well as for individual and group work with families.
