Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the experimental substantiation of expedience of alfa-lipoic acid application in closed craniocerebral trauma. Its possibility to prevent the formation of spread membrane pathology lies in the basis of protector effect of the preparation. It is realized by means of significant decrease of intensity of free radicals generation and accumulation and also effective regulation of oxidant-antioxidant homeostasis in blood serum and brain tissues of rats with closed craniocerebral trauma. Moreover, protector activity of alfa-lipoic acid is realized by considerable positive influence on energetic metabolism by means of preservation of ATP fund and modification of enzyme activity as well as effective correction of posttraumatic metabolic lactoacidosis and prevention of development of endogenous intoxication syndrome in conditions of the investigated form of brain traumatic disease.
