Drashkovych and "Bomba" (in English - "Bomb"), "Pan Polkovnyk" (in English - "Mr. Colonel"), "Tila i dushi" (in English - "Bodies and Souls") by M.Bozhych. New literary material has been introduced. This material has been comprehended, systemized and put in the context of Yugoslav literature process and other European countries prose devoted to the Second World War. This is the first time when an attempt has been made in Ukrainian Slavic studies to ascertain the nature and peculiarities of Yugoslav war novel on the highlight of its evolution, to reveal reasons and mainstreams of its "jump" at the turn of seventies - eighties, which was, in the first place, connected with strengthening of believe that events of the war and liberation movement is inalienable part of the people past. The main emphasis is on the problems of the historical memory, the interrelation of story times within the framework of a particular structure of a paper, the problems of new identity of the main character as the basis for finding new interethnic and interreligious unity, as well as on moral and ethical aspects of "war" themes and on the results of the final refusal from the principle of a positive character as the mandatory attribute in the literature.
