In the thesis K. Vasylenko’s art-pedagogical ideas are revealed and systematized for the first time, the complete scientific analysis of his activity is carried out, its contents and the basic directions are exposed; the periodization is developed; factors of forming of scientifically-pedagogical outlook of the teacher are found out and the experience of K. Vasylenko’s activity on a post of the manager of Choreography Department of the Kyiv State Institute of Culture, in amateur dancing collectives is generalized; that has allowed to prove his personal didactic concept and to define perspectives of usage of pedagogue’s creative heritage in conditions of modernization of national educational system.
