Pharmacological study of "Venohepar" ointment has been carried out. The ointment's composition is presented below: heparin - 10000 units of activity; miramistin - 0,5%; mefenamic acid - 1,0%; troxerutin - 2%; dimethylsulfoxide - 3%; base - mixture РЕО-400, РЕО-1500 and proxanol - up to 100%. It has been determined that the "Venohepar" ointment reveals a wide range of pharmacological activities such as anti-inflammatory, anticoagulative, phleboprotective, antioxidant and antimycotic. Study of the specific pharmacological activities of the "Venohepar" ointment was performed on the following modelled trombophlebitis, pathologies caused by caragenin, zimozan and histamine inflammations; as well as on modelled experimental candidal infection and septic wound caused by both gram-negative and grampositive microflorae (staphylococcus and blue pus bacillus). The study resulted in establishing advantages of the new preparation as related to comparator agents with respect to all indices under research. The "Venohepar" ointment is "relatively non-hazardous", producing no toxic effects on organs or life systems of animals while studying chronic and specific toxicity. The "Venohepar" ointment is characterized by a wide range of pharmacological activity and is recommended as a medicine for pathogenic treatment of venous pathologies
