Socio-economic processes of forming the sphere of rural population employment. Theoretic-methodical substantiation of basic development directions of rural population employment sphere in Ukraine and practical measures concerning creation of new workplaces and entrepreneurship development in countryside. Methods: comparative analysis, classification and typology, statistical, imitation modelling, sociological, balance methods. It was offered a clarification of socio-economic category essence "population employment". It was disclosed an influence consequences of transformations in agrarian sector of country economy on employment. It was given the employment estimation of village inhabitants and developed conceptual principles for development of rural population employment sphere. It was offered a changes and adding to Laws of Ukraine concerning population employment. It was determined scientifically-practical recommendations concerning systematic development and sponsorship of entrepreneurship in a village with purpose of additional workplaces networking. It was offered program-purposeful approaches of forming the principles of state and territorial programs of population employment taking into account rural unemployment specific and increase of role and responsibility of regional management subjects, organs of local self-government and legislative settlement of rural population employment questions.
