Guletska Y. Multicultural Education of students at Universities of the USA.

The dissertation presents the analysis of multicultural education of students as an important part of the university education system of the USA. Theoretical fundamentals of student multicultural education have been given. In the process of the research various conceptual approaches to the essence clarification of the concept "multicultural education" have been characterized, the genesis of multicultural education has been defined; the main multicultural education reforms of university education have been described. The peculiarities of multicultural education of pedagogical faculties' students in the system of university education of the USA have been analyzed. Content, forms and methods of student preparation to work in diverse environment have been considered, as well as the development of multicultural competence of students has been covered. In the USA current pedagogical researches in the sphere of multicultural education are conducted in various directions: conceptualization of multicultural education, American diverse society studies, sociopolitical context, global context of human relations; school, university education, pedagogical education, bilingual and multilingual education, program and curriculum development.
