The Object: Educational work of youth organiza-tions in Western Ukrainian regions in 20-30 of the XX century. The Purpose: To find out the peculi-arities of preparation of youth for self-dependent active life through the activity of youth organiza-tions and determine the possibilities of application of positive ideas of this experience. Methods: chronological, theoretical. Practical value: The possibilities of application of progressive achievements of historical and pedagogical ex-perience of youth organizations' activities in 20-30 of the XX century of preparation of youth for self-dependent active life in the conditions of modern Ukraine have been determined.
