Essay

The dissertation research is devoted to the analysis non-violence principle in the pedagogical conception of A.S.Neill. The leading principles of founded by him Summerhill school have been analyzed. It advocates pupils' freedom, bringing them into self-government, respecting their rights and interests. The contribution of the English pedagogue into the History of Pedagogics has been defined. On the basis of study and analysis of A.S.Neill's pedagogical works it has been found out that the non-violence principle is a leading principle of his pedagogical conception. A historical excursus into the development of non-violence ideas has been carried out. On the basis of Summerhill school experience the recommendations on the use of non-violence principle in the organization of educational process in educational establishments of Ukraine have been formulated.
