Essay

The object: enlightening activities and pedagogical ideas of Ukrainian writers in the Diaspora. The aim: is to investigate the U.Samchuk's enlightening activ-ity, to define his principal pedagogical ideas, to make generalizations and provide argumentation of their current role and significance for the modern system of education. Practical value: scientific backgrounding of the ways of usage U.Samchuk's ideas in the development of the Ukrainian national school; realization of the main points and conclu-sions of the research in the process of education and upbringing both at high school and at secondary educational establishments. The academic syllabus of the optional course has been worked out. Meth-ods: diachronic, historical and logical, theoretical, comparative analysis.
