The object - the education in the Donbass region in 1861-1917, peculiarities, the basis tendencies and the historical meaning. The aim of the work - to made the analysis of the educational processes in the Donbass of the centuries shift. The methods the historical, objective, systematical principles. Historico-genetic, historico-comparative, historico-systimatical methods and structu- recal analуsis, The practical sense of the work are to use the re- serch results to the development of the historical problems of the Ukranian history and the public education in the Donetsk region. In the thesis the educational processes in the Donbass Region of the centuries shift are investigated. The peculiarities of the educa- tional politics of this period are researched. The growth of the number of the educational establishment, the contribution of the citizenship are worked out, the educational role of the out-of school activities establishments are carried outd. The complex analysis of the developments of the different types of the education of the defined period is performed.
