Chyzhanska N. The investigation of mechanism of antistress action of melanin

Dissertation is devoted to study of mechanism of antistress action of melanin. Neuro-dystrophyc injuries (ulcers, erosions, hemorrhages) in gastric mucosa evoked by immobilization stress by Groisman and Karevina were the signs of influence of stress on rats. It was established that synthetic melanin and melanin producers of which are black yeasts Nadsoniella nigra var. hesuelica, and yeast-like fungi Nadsoniella nigra штам Х-1, showed pronounced cytoprotective action on gastric mucosa in rats. It was shown that one of the antistress mechanism action of melanin consists in increase of generation of nitric oxide which plays important role in cytoprotection. The others mechanisms of antiulcer influence of melanin include the stimulation of peroxisome-proliferator-activated receptors gamma and decrease of concentration in the blood of hormone of stress cortisol. The use of melanin producer of which is Nadsoniella nigra species Х-1 in piglets in period of take away from sow removes their sickness rate and by 100% decrease death-rate. It is witness of increase of piglet's resistance.
