In the dissertation the theoretical generalization is done and the author approach to the solution of the problem which concerns the processes of formation and use of the labour potential of the region is laid out. The theoretical approaches to the finding the nature of the labour potential and its place in the system of social- economic categories are deepened. The classification of the factors of formation and development of labor potential is improved. The author conducts the complex social- economic description of labour potential of Khmelnytsky oblast. She also conducts the valuation of the influence of the labour potential on the social- economic and innovative development of the region. The tendencies and contradictions of the development of labour potential in the region are shown in the context of the conception of human development. The priorities of the regional administration of the formation and use of labour potential are substantiated. The necessity of providing with the ecological principles of improving the labour potential is substantiated. The role of investing into the ensuring the development of labour potential of the region is studied.
