Essay

The historical and pedagogical dichotomy analysis of changes in the activity of schools of general education of Ukraine (1917-1941) was carried out in the dissertation. Native country scientists’ and statesmen’s contribution of the period under consideration in the development of theoretical principles of national school was shown. The stages of the course of pedagogical changes in the activity of general schools of Ukraine were defined on the basis of the analyses of historical and pedagogical literature, normative documents and a wide range of archival and publicistic materials of the period under consideration: (1917-1919- the stage of renaissance and formation of national school; 1931-1941- the phase of pedagogical changes of unification character). The role of the system of after-graduation education in reformative and innovation development of national school of Ukraine of the period under consideration was disclosed. Possibilities of creative ripplication of theoretical ideas and innovative pedagogical experience of schools of general education of Ukraine (1917-1941) in modern teaching and educational institutions were defined.
