Object – of the investigation: the development of the Natural education in the history of the National Secondary school at the second part of the 19th – beginning of the 20th century; subject of the investigation: the content of the Natural education at the National Secondary School at the second part of the 19th – beginning of the 20th century; the aim of the investigation is to make a scientific analysis of the development of the content of the Natural education at the National Secondary School at the second part of the 19th – beginning of the 20th century; methods of the investigation: specific searching (revelation, selection, synthesis, actualization, classification and generalization of archival and printed sources concerning the problems of the development of the Natural education at the secondary school); - a method of theoretical analysis of the historical and pedagogical literature, normative documents, state programmes, plans, conceptions, archival documents; - historical and comparative analysis, chronological and problem-solving method have given the opportunity to trace the development of the content of the Natural education in Ukraine at the second part of the 19th – beginning of the 20th century; - historical and systematic method has been used for studying the influence of the system of education scientific methodology and methodology of information technologies on the development of Natural Science; - methods of theoretical generalization and systematization of the materials under the study, which have been used for drawing conclusions, grounding the perspectives of creative application of historical experience in Natural Science teaching; Scientific Novelty: - the development of the content of the Natural education at the National secondary school at the second part of the 19th – beginning of the 20th century has been analyzed; - the peculiarities of the pedagogues’ and specialists’ on methods of teaching viewpoints on the content of the Natural education at the Secondary School at the 19th – beginning of the 20th century have been revealed and the main tendencies of its reformation have been defined.
