The dissertation is devoted to the problem of the pedagogical support of the development of elementary school children's national consciousness. With the view to solving this problem the model of conscious mastering of national values by elementary school children is grounded. The structural components of the system of the pedagogical support of the national consciousness development among elementary school children, the terms of the effective system functioning are defined on the basis of this model. The dynamics of the elementary school children's national consciousness and self-consciousness development in the terms of the experimental system and methods functioning is discovered.
