Essay

Object – the research is the scientific pedagogical legacy of native and foreign pedagogues, the subject of the research – the whole analysis of the moral personality upbringing concept in works of Ukrainian educational thinkers of the second half of XVIII century, the goal of the research consists in scientific analysis and theoretical grounding of the goal, tasks, principles and content of the moral personality upbringing concept realization in works of Ukrainian educational thinkers of the second half of XVIII century, the methods of the research were used to obtain sufficiently objective information on the chosen problem: general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, systematization, comparison, classification of historical pedagogical sources), which gave an opportunity to order systematically the views of native and foreign scientists on the problem under the investigation; historical methods (chronological, historical-topological, logical-historical), which allowed to trace the process of formation and development of the moral personality upbringing concept in philosophical and pedagogical literature; comparative historical and systematic structural – to compare certain theories, concepts, views on the problem under the investigation; the scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the research implies that for the first time the systemic analysis of the problem solution in terms of the moral personality upbringing concept in works of Ukrainian educational thinkers of the second half of XVIII century has been presented; their views on the goal, principles and content of the process have been ordered systematically. On the basis of historical pedagogical analysis the contribution of the Ukrainian educational thinkers to the practical solution of the problem under the investigation and the role of their legacy in the historical development of the Ukrainian pedagogical thought with the purpose of using the obtained data in reformation of present Ukrainian upbringing and educational system have been revealed.
