Object of research is processes of forming and realization of social security of rural population in the conditions of socio-economic transformations in a country. Purpose is deepening of scientific-methodological bases of the system of social security of rural population in the conditions of market relations and mechanisms of its organization in a region. Methods: monographic, system, economic-statistical, graphic. Results: determination of concept „Social security of rural population” is first offered, the mechanism of social security is improved as to activity of the state, local imperious structures, enterprises and organizations. Use: in activity of Main administration of agroindustrial development of Volyn Region State Administration, in the educational process of the Volyn Institute of Economy and Management.
