The thesis focuses on developing a value-based attitude towards the native land in primary schoolchildren in the process of educational work at the initial stage of education. The paper discusses the theoretical status of the problem, presents the outcomes of its analysis, interprets the notion of 'value-based attitude towards the native land' and defines its structure, dwells on the specifics featuring the formation of primary schoolchildren's attitude towards their native land, discusses the progress primary schoolchildren have made in this regard at general education establishments, provides a rationale for the training conditions underlying optimized development of a value-based attitude towards the native land in primary schoolchildren. It presents a model that we have developed for a value-based attitude towards the native land, provides a theoretical justification for its conceptual framework, dwells on methodology for the formative stage of research and experimental work, and elucidates and analyzes the research findings obtained.
