Ulanova V. Experimental substantiation of creation expediency of new medicine containing of hop extract for vaginitis treatment

Thesis deals with the invetstigation of pharmacological properties of hop extract and hop extract containing suppositories. It was established that the investigated extract has a wide range of pharmacologicаl activity in dose 5 mg/kg. It was proved, that hop extract has antiinflammatory, antialterative, reparative, anti-oxydant, membrane-stabilizing and antibacterial properties. Specific activity of hop extract and hop extract containing suppositories was studied in experimental vaginitis, caused by mechanical and chemical irritative factor. It has been determined that suppositories with hop extract in dose 5 mg/kg have therapeutic effect, characterized by normalization of haematologic markers, decrease of destructivanol-necrotic processes in vagina mucous membrane, which is confirmed by the hystomorphological research data. Studying the acute toxicity parameters of hop extract it was proved that investigated substance belongs to "practically harmless" substances class according to Sidorov K. K. classification. It was established, that investigated extract in dose 5 mg/kg does not have local irritative effect.
