Essay

In thesis at the first time the theoretical ideas and practical experience of studying pedagogics at higher educational spiritual establishments of Ukraine (the beginning of the 19th century – 1920th) are scientifically generalized, the scientific ideas of studying of moral religious studies and practice of education are exposed and grounded. The dynamics of process of study of pedagogics at higher educational spiritual establishments of Ukraine of this period is scientifically grounded and its main stages are specified. Creative personalities of church servants (archbishop A. Znamensky, archimandrite Platon, prot. P. Solyarsky, prot. I. Korolkov); theologians and teachers, authors of textbooks and manuals on pedagogics (P. Blonsky, P. Gogotsky, M. Demkov, P. Evstafiev, K. Elnitsky, N. Zajtsev, N. Maccavejsky, I. Malyshevsky, M. Olesnitsky, V. Pevnitsky, K. Skvortsov, P. Yurkevich, I. Yanyshev), which have 1) developed theoretical and practical bases of studying of pedagogical disciplines; 2) grounded the system of didactic principles; 3) scientifically generalized experience of studying pedagogics; 4) defined essence of basic pedagogical concepts through the specific of spiritual activity, are exposed and characterised. The experience of teaching of course “Basis of Christian Pedagogics”, developed on the basis of theoretical ideas and experience of morally-theological, upbringing and didactic heritage of Christian pedagogues, at higher educational establishments of the Poltava region is theoretically generalized.
