Essay

The dissertation provides systematic and generalized description of the ideas and experience of the personality moral upbringing of the prominent humanist of European Renaissance Erasmus of Rotterdam for the first time in the national studies on the History of Pedagogy. Philosophical and anthropological foundations of the moral ideal are exposed, the aim, principles and methods as well as the ways of meeting the moral ideal are described, the main directions in moulding the moral personality in the context of the all-rounded and harmonious education are revealed. The possibility of incorporating the ideas of Erasmus of Rotterdam into contemporary pedagogical process is actualized. The philosophical and ical pedagog sourced which were unknown or little-known in the national science are supplied to academic circulation.
