Object: an educational process in the secondary education establishments (50-80 th XX cent.): the research objective- a process of development of the idea of professional orientation of senior pupills studying in school (50-80 th of XX cent.): aim of research is: basing upon analysis and systematization of historical and pedagogical sources, education and methodical literature, archive documents, sources of national periodicals of XX cent to oobserve the development of the idea of professional orientation of senior pupils studying in national pedagogical conception of 50-80 th of XX cent.: to determine the ways of of use the national achievements in the modern conditions; methods of research: analysis, synthesis, concrete-scientific, system-structural, scientific-bibliographical, problematic-aim,historic-comparative, methods of generalisation and interpretation of data;scientific novelty: for the first time in historic-pedagogical aspect the integral analysis of development of theory and practice of professional orientation of senior pupils studying in definite chronological boundaries is made; the principal preconditions are definer and the stages of development of the idea of professional orientation of senior pupils studying in national school (50-80 th XX crnt.) are described;the perspectives of creative use of pedagogical ideas, the conceptions of leading scientists and teachers of the second half of XX cent. in modern higher educational establishments are outlined.
