Object of research: iliac bone fractures and callus in dogs. The purpose of research – to prove an application of extracortical osteosynthesis and hydroxylapatite “CERGAP” in fractures of iliac bone in dogs. Methods of research: clinical, radiological, hematological, biochemical, histological and statistical. Scientific novelty of work: for the first time theoretically, a method of iliac bone gap reparation by means of implantation of hydroxylapatite ceramic and extracortical osteosynthesis was developed. An influence of hydroxylapatite crystals on dynamics of quantities of blood cells (erythrocytes and leucocytes), activity of alkaline phosphatase and serum concentration of calcium, inorganic phosphorus and manganese were investigated. As ascertained, except iliac bone repairing after implantation to the fracture gap, “CERGAP” also stimulates bone regeneration processes due to its unique chemical composition. It is offered: to use extracortical osteosythesis and hydroxylapatite ceramic “CERGAP” in veterinary traumatology for treatment of pelvic bone fractures in small animals. It is introduced:the results of investigation are used for studying a discipline “General and special surgery” in National Agrarian University of Bila Tserkva, National University of Bioresourses and Life Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv), Podilskiy State Agrarian Technical University (Kamianets-Podilskiy), National Agroecology Universiry of Zhytomyr, State Agrarian University of Odessa, State Agrarian Academy of Poltava, National Agrarian University of Sumy, Lviv National Agrarian University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechonologies named after S. Z. Gzhytskiy, Lugansk National Agrarian University and in veterinary practice. Two patents of useful model were issued. Field of application: Veterinary Medicine.
