Object: pedagogical heritage of H. Mann and K. Ushynskyi; Aim: compare and contrast pedagogical ideas of H. Mann and K. Ushynskyi, discover common pedagogical principles and differences in solving the problems of education; Methods: analysis of literature, historic-genetic method, content-analysis, discourse-analysis, comparative-historical method, synchronistic methods; Novelty: for the first time pedagogical ideas of H. Mann and K. Ushynskyi are analyzed within certain historic-pedagogical material, defined common and different in the paradigmatic basis of their pedagogical views; Results: can be used in the process of teaching the courses on general pedagogy, history of pedagogy, comparative pedagogy in educational establishments of different levels of accreditation and also in preparing educational supplies; Field – general pedagogy and history of pedagogy.
